Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Shortcastle Technologies collects through 10x Chess Academy, why we collect it, and who we share it with. It applies to all users of 10x Chess Academy.

1. Shared account with Chesslang One

10x Chess Academyshares its sign-in and account system with Chesslang One (one.chesslang.com). Both products run on a single Supabase project, so your account and profile data are visible across both — signing in to one signs you in to the other.

2. Data we collect

Account data

Email, name, display name, and password. Passwords are handled entirely by Supabase Auth; we never see or store your raw password.

Profile data

Country, state, GSTIN, billing address, WhatsApp number, bio, academy name, active student count, and language preference (locale).

Payment data

Payments are processed by Razorpay or Stripe. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank account numbers — only the billing details and transaction status these processors return to us.

Usage data

Which webinars and materials you view, and items you save for later.

AI assistant questions

Questions you ask the AI assistant are sent to OpenAI so it can generate an answer.

3. Who we share data with

We use the following processors and sub-processors to run 10x Chess Academy:

• Supabase— authentication and our primary database, shared with Chesslang One.
• Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront)— storage and delivery of webinar recordings and materials.
• Razorpay and Stripe— payment processing and subscription billing.
• OpenAI— generating AI assistant answers and embedding webinar transcripts to support those answers.
• Zoho— when you register for a live webinar, your name, email, and role are shared with Zoho to manage that registration.

4. Cookies

We use strictly necessary session cookies (txca_access and txca_refresh) to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Support access to your account

Our support staff may access your account to troubleshoot issues you report, such as billing or content access problems. This access is limited to what’s needed to resolve the issue.

6. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. Invoices and payment records are retained beyond account closure as required for tax and legal compliance.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing support@shortcastle.com.

10x Chess Academy is a business tool for chess coaches and academies and is not directed at, or intended for use by, individuals under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
